The Genres & Languages (GLE) research team has become a partner of the European Literacy Network. GLE aligns with ELN’s scientific goal of developing a comprehensive understanding of literacy and literacy practices in Europe (through explicit comparisons of cross-linguistic and cross-cultural differences).

Professional, Academic, and Work-Based Literacies
In September 2017, the Genres & Languages (GLE) research team joined Professional, Academic, and Work-Based Literacies (PAWBL), a BAAL special interest group. Like PAWBL members, GLE seeks to develop robust research methodologies to investigate academic writing practices and literacy development.

Linguistic diversity on the international campus
This is a current project led by Prof. Jennifer Jenkins (University of Southampton) and Prof. Anna Mauranen (University of Helsinki). At present, we are collecting data in our local context and finalizing analytical frameworks for the preparation of future publications.
